Hana Fox
Owner + Lead Photographer
————————————————————————-
I’m your photographer: a mix of silly, quirky, and curious— balanced with a healthy dose of quiet observation. Upon first interaction, I may seem reserved—but know that I’m taking you in, gently learning the rhythm of who you are. As a natural empath, I am drawn to the unspoken, the unseen and the essence of a person that hides just beneath the surface.
Photography is more than just taking a photo to me. It’s that moment your breath catches right before a wave swallows you whole on a sticky summer day. It’s the cool fall air brushing your cheeks and filling your lungs with the promise of warm winter nights with family and friends. It’s the light falling between branches and leaves, hitting the soft forest floor and tumbling onto your picnic blanket. It’s light, air and atmosphere intermingling with one another only to be disturbed by you dancing through it.

More on the human who I am…
I may have had a camera in my hand since I was 5 years old, but I live a very artistic, full and chaotic life outside of photography. My day job as a Multidisciplinary Designer at an Architectural Firm not only helps me pay the bills but keeps my feet light and my eyes sharp. Day to day, I juggle different design concepts from interior design to drafting to graphic design. I have to adjust my brain processing on the flip of a switch. Before my design life, I spent three years in the film industry working in the Art Department, Set Decoration, Scenic and Production. In my spare time, I still work on short films and try to keep in touch with the community. My participation has whittle down to short films and day-playing on larger productions. Prior to film, I worked as a photo-scanner and editor where I was able to witness beautiful memories of the everyday person captured on film and in print. I had the opportunity to digitize them into permanence.
And before all that? Much, much more. I majored in Art and minored in English in undergrad. I went back to school to get a Graduate Certificate in Video Production. I worked at a dance store squeezing the largest and oldest bunions I’ve ever seen into narrow dance shoes. I’ve dressed people while working at Nordstrom and specialized in fitting jeans and bras. I’ve seen so many parts of human beings —too many parts.
Now? I spend my days looking forward to early mornings filled with bright orange and yellow light with a cup of tea in my hand. I breathe. I dance. I do yoga. I go to the gym. I try to pursue what I love in an authentic way.
